Announcement From Canton Township

We’ve been asked to forward this message along to residents in our subdivision:

Canton Values Your Input!

Help Determine the Possible Future Development of Preservation Park and Patriot Park

As an active member of our community, your ideas and opinions about the future of Canton’s parks are important to us. Master Plans for Preservation Park and Patriot Park, both located in Northwest Canton, are currently being updated and will guide decision-making for these sites over the next five years. Residents are encouraged to provide input in determining the future development of these parks at two upcoming public meetings.

Preservation Park (formerly known as the Bartlett Travis House Property) is located at 500 North Ridge Road and is currently home to several historic buildings, Community Gardens, the Canton Farmers Market, and Dog Park. Patriot Park, located on the Northwest corner of Ford and Ridge Roads, is currently undeveloped, natural space. Current Master Plans for both of these sites are available online at Cantonfun.org

All of the ideas, comments, and opinions received from Canton’s residents will be used to formulate the direction for developing future park amenities, such as: increased access to natural spaces, trails, gardens, athletics, art and other desired amenities. Please join us for these upcoming Leisure Services focus groups/community forums.
